I was born in Epsom, Surrey England. I am an ex British Army Officer. Graduated from The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I met my husband who was an Officer in the US Military in Berlin Germany. We have 3 grown daughters and are expecting our first grandchild in November.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I was a Royal Military Police Officer, and served in the UK, Berlin, Hong Kong and Northern Ireland. My daughter and I decided we would like to open a retail store on the Dahlonega square. A British store was the obvious choice. I love meeting and talking with all of the people that come into the store. We have received a very warm welcome.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
There are so many restaurants we love, it is hard to name two but top of our list would be Bratzeit and Spirits. We also love Knuckles – amazing sandwiches.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
We moved here two years ago to open a bed and breakfast, One Off Main. We had visited Dahlonega for many years as one of our daughters went to UNG, and my husband went to Ranger school at Camp Merrill.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Southern England, probably Cornwall, my favorite coastline in the world. Or the Highlands of Scotland. My mother is a Scot…love the stunning countryside.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Midnight in The Garden of Good and Evil

Be nice.

Visit India.

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
No 3 Vintage and Fudge Factory
Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Barry Manilow. I am an unashamed Fanilow….don’t judge me! ? We would go to Shenanigans for Karaoke night.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I just love walking the square…never get tired of it.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Still running a British store but with an English Tearoom attached.

I was arrested near the Chinese border?
