Meet Al Patel. Al moved to Dahlonega in 1998 from Boston, Massachusetts and has established hundreds of friendships thru his job at Cavender Creek Station. He and his wife Najal have raised their two children in Dahlonega. Anyone who goes to Cavender Creek Station knows Al because he never meets a stranger!
Question: What brought you to Dahlonega?
Answer: It was a family member that introduced us to Dahlonega. They had a business in the area and so we thought it was a good opportunity and moved here in 1998. (Good move!)
Question: What is your favorite restaurant in Dahlonega?
Answer: Pueblo’s Mexican Restaurant. I like spicy, hot food and they have great choices.
Question: If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
Answer: It would be to a temple, Vaishno Devi in India. I went there as a young child and my wife and son have visited the temple, but my daughter has not and I would like to take her. It would sort of complete a circle for my family and fulfill a dream.
Question: Do you have a favorite movie?
Answer: 3 Idiots (I am probably the only one that has heard of it!)
Question: What is your favorite thing about Dahlonega?
Answer: The absolute beauty surrounding Dahlonega and the hiking. It is an ideal place to go hiking and to just enjoy the outdoors and the people are friendly, helpful and feel like family.

Answer: A.R.Raymond
Question: What advice would you give to a crowd of people?
Answer: Be polite, courteous and open to sharing life experiences with others.
Question: What is something others might not know about you?
Answer: I actually climbed the first part of Mt. Everest years ago in India. I also don’t think that people know that I am very intuitive.
