I am from Ireland. I moved to the USA in 1983. I became a citizen in 2016.
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I am married to Edmund. I have 3 sons, 2 daughters and 8 grandchildren.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do (or did if retired)?
What I love most about what I do is knowing that there’s a family who doesn’t have to wonder where they will sleep tonight because of the program we offer at Jeremiah’s Place. We bring hope to the families we serve.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community and your favorite dishes there?
The Picnic Cafe – Southern egg salad sandwich. Shenanigans Irish Pub – Fish & chips.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community? And if you moved here, where were you from originally?
I lived in Dahlonega from 2005-2010 and returned in 2015. I am originally from Ireland.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community and why?
Jimmy Faulkner. His integrity and honesty. His passion for Jeremiah’s Place. He is unassuming, a man of few words but when he speaks everyone listens.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
To Ireland to see my Mom
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?

Q: What advice would you give to people?
Never take away anyone’s “HOPE” it might be all they have left.
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
To take an Amtrak vacation.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
President Trump. Because of him I’m a citizen. We would meet for lunch at Montaluce Winery.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
My favorite thing most definitely is the people. The way the whole community comes together to support each other.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Retired and spending my time split between Ireland and USA.
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I’m actually very shy.
Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
Garmisch, Germany in the Bavarian Alps.
Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
My favorite month is September because I know the weather is finally going to cool down. Christmas is my favorite holiday. The best single day is March 17, St. Patrick’s Day and it’s also our wedding anniversary.

My family.

Chanel and a new born baby.
