Hello! I am Annaleigh Martin, and I currently am a Senior at Lumpkin County High School! I enjoy helping out in the community and cheering on the Indians!
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I live with my two wonderful parents, Chad and Angela Martin. We live on family property with my grandparents, Eric and Brenda Loske. I also have a grandparent located in Dawsonville Georgia, Marie Iler. I have always lived up in beautiful North Georgia with my family. I plan to stay local!
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do (or did if retired)?
My future plans are to attend college and get my degree in Early Childhood Education.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community and your favorite dishes there?
Some of my favorite restaurants include: Dipper Dans, El Jimador, and Foothill Grill.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community? And if you moved here, where were you from originally?
I have always lived in Dahlonega ever since I was born. I love my beautiful hometown.
Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community and why?
The most interesting person I have met is Carrie Roy. She is always making people laugh and has a great personality! She is the life of the party and so sweet!
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I tend to be a homebody! But I would love to go to the Bahamas! I love the beach.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
My favorite movie is Overcomer. It tells a story of a girl who rises up and chases her dreams and makes them a reality. It truly is inspiring!
Q: What advice would you give to people?
My advice to people would be have goals. You can do anything you put your mind to with hard work. High school has been a journey but by setting my goals, I have achieved some of my dreams. Those include being an Honor Graduate and having a GPA of 3.9 . It surely wasn’t easy and there were many obstacles, but you can never give up or back down. All of us are capable of fulfilling our dreams!
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
Something on my bucket list is to build a beautiful home with someone I love and to have a beautiful family with! I would want to build my home local so I could stay near and remain close with my friends and family!
Q: What is your go to band when you can’t decide what to listen to?
Some of my favorite artists are Lainey Wilson, Morgan Wallen, and Bailey Zimmerman.
Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Lainey Wilson! She is my favorite country music artist! I would go somewhere on the square and then get dessert after!
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
My favorite thing about our community is the square. Especially when it is all lit up for Christmas!
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
I see myself still living in Dahlonega. I can see myself teaching and starting to build my home with my future husband. Hopefully starting a family soon as well.
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I love to bake and do crafts!
Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
The Great Smoky Mountains! The views and animals are breathtaking!
Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
December because it’s Christmas time! I love all the time I get to spend with close family and friends. I also love celebrating the birth of Jesus!
Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
Fall weather!!
Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My mom is my biggest inspiration. I want to be a strong and hardworking woman, wife, and mother like her!
Q: What is one or two of your favorite smells?
My two favorite smells are Vanilla and Lavender.
