Meet Alfred Chang. Alfred is an attorney in Dahlonega. He lives with his wife, Megan who is a school teacher. They have two children Lily and Christopher. I recently met up with Alfred in his law office in Dahlonega for our interview.
Question: What brought you to Dahlonega?
Answer: It was a series of circumstances relating to work and I fell in love with the mountains and Dahlonega and decided to make it home and to move my law practice to Dahlonega.
Question: What is your favorite restaurant in Dahlonega?
Answer: It is the “Picnic Cafe and Dessertery” on the square. It has a lot of charm and of course, good food.
Question: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now where would it be and why?
Answer: My wife and I love to travel. We were in Paris last spring and always looking forward to the next trip. I would lie to go to Prague and Manchu Picchu, but I am going to have to convince my wife to go to Peru! It is not on the top of her list.
Question: What is your favorite movie or movies?
Answer: Casablanca, Lost in Translation and The Lion King.
Question: What advice would you give to a crowd of people?
Answer: Be flexible. Be open to something different.
Question: What are three words or phrases that come to mind when you think of the word home?
Answer: Love, Support, Duty
Question: Bands you would like to see (Alive or Dead)?
Answer: James Taylor, The Beatles, & Johnny Cash
Question: What is your Favorite Book?
Answer: I do a lot of reading, but right now I would have to say I LOVE Podcasts!
Question: If you were to choose anyone (Dead or Alive) to have lunch with who would it be and why?
Answer: Winston Churchill. In London, of course
Questions: What do you like best about Dahlonega?
Answer: Definitely the people. There is nothing like a small town and the camaraderie that you feel. You really get to know people and they become lifetime friends. Of course, the beauty of Dahlonega is a huge plus and it grabs you every day.
