Kelly Seabolt

My name is Kelly Seabolt. My husband Jared and I have 2 daughters: Blakely (16) and Briley (11). We are both Dahlonega natives or “Nuggets”. Jared is self employed at On Point Custom Woodwork, LLC. He has been in the custom cabinet business for several years. We are very fortunate to be part of this community. Our girls are very active and keep us on the go!

 

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do (or did if retired)?
I am a kindergarten teacher at Long Branch Elementary School. This is my 19th year. I have also taught second and third grade. I love teaching kindergarten because creating a firm foundation is so important. I also love creating a fun learning environment for my kiddos. I strive for them to love to come to school everyday!

Q: What is your favorite restaurant in our community and your favorite dish there?
My favorite restaurant in our community is Shenanigans. I love the “crack dip”!

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community? And if you moved here, where were you from originally?
I have lived here my entire life. I actually attended LBES the first year it opened. I was in fourth grade. It’s extra special for me to be part of the LBES family now.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I would travel somewhere tropical because it’s too cold right now.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies or TV shows?
I don’t have a lot of time to watch TV.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
I would advise people to just be kind and honest.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
Hawaii

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive or not alive today, with whom would you love to have lunch? Why?
I would chose to have lunch with my paternal grandparents. I never knew them.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I love that our community comes together to help one in need or to celebrate. Our community loves BIG and shows up!

Q: What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I’m pretty much an open book! LOL!

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
Amish Country in Pennsylvania

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My family, students, and colleagues inspire me to be better! We can all strive to be better each day!

Q: Finally, what words or phrases come to mind when you think of the word HOME?
Home is my FAVORITE place to be!
