I’m a junior at UNG. I play women’s basketball and just started nursing school this fall. I’ve lived in Dahlonega my whole life and grow appreciative of our community more and more as I’ve grown up. I work at Connie’s Ice Cream when I can. I love being outside in the sunshine, being with friends and family, and love the Indians!
Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My parents met at North Georgia over 20 years ago. My mom has been a PE teacher at Long Branch and my dad has been the UNG Softball Coach ever since. My brother is a senior at the high school and is committed to Kennesaw State to play baseball!
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do (or did if retired)?
Right now I am pursuing a nursing degree at UNG. This fall was my first semester I have learned so much about how a nurse thinks, and I can wait to see what I do in this career.
Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community and your favorite dishes there?
I love a Dipper Dan cheeseburger and sweet tea, some Wagon Wheel green beans and corn, Smith House strawberry shortcake, or a cinnamon roll from Foothill.
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community? And if you moved here, where were you from originally?
I’ve lived in Dahlonega my whole life!
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Somewhere in Europe to just to say I’ve seen it myself.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
I don’t really have a fav!
Q: What advice would you give to people?
That Jesus is preparing you for what he’s prepared for you. I constantly have to remind myself that everything happens for a reason.

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Justin Bieber for sure! Would probably eat somewhere on the square and of course get ice cream after!
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I love being on the square, especially during Gold Rush. Being in my hometown and having it showcased for everyone to see is something so special, especially when you get to see everyone all around!
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Hopefully in 5 years I’m done with school and established in my career, and even married and have started a family!
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I have to have a sweet treat after dinner, usually a DQ blizzard.
Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?

My favorite month is July because that holds our annual beach trip which is my favorite week of the year!
Q: What would you rate a 10 out of 10?
When the weather is warm enough for shorts but cool enough for a sweatshirt or pullover.
