I love North Georgia! I have lived here all of my life and feel very deeply rooted. I most enjoy the “small home town” community that I feel all over North Georgia. I grew up in North Hall on a family farm in Murrayville. I have also lived in Blue Ridge, and currently reside in Dawsonville. My daughter, SaraBeth, and I enjoy riding our horses, Nellie and Cookie, hearing local musicians in Hancock Park, and pretty much any outdoor activity. I have been an Insurance Agent for 30 years now (wow, time flies). I worked in the Norton Gainesville office for 7 years and now have been in the Dahlonega office for 5 years. My focus is commercial insurance for small business owners, and their family homes and personal autos as well. I insure most of the small farm wineries we are fortunate to have here in North GA ! I also enjoy volunteering with many of the local festivals, to drive our tourism economy, I am a Past President of Kiwanis (twice) and currently serve as a GA District of Kiwanis Board Member for 20-21.

I have one daughter, SaraBeth, who is 16 and attends Lumpkin Co. HS.
Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I love the community connection I find in my job of service to small business owners.

Dahlonega-Spirits-Best Cheeseburger ! Blue Ridge- Southern Charm- Fried Chicken!
Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I have lived in the area all of my life and been based in the Norton Dahlonega office 5 years.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Idaho, Montana and Wyoming to ride horses with my daughter.
Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
The Ranch, Downton Abbey, Sandal, Eat Pray Love
Q: What advice would you give to people?
Silence can be the best answer sometimes…..
Q: What is something on your bucket list?
Adventurous travel with my SaraBeth.

Oh this is hard….I love so many- Waylon & Willie, Doobie Brothers & Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Wonder

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
The President- because that is an amazing and overwhelming position to be in.
Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I love walking around the square and running into people I know, and the shop owners that have been fixtures in our community for so long.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Still in North Georgia, still with Norton Insurance…..life is good here!
Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
Not sure- I feel like I am an open book…….I don’t hold back much –
Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
I must say Paris- It is truly breath taking; Locally, hiking to the top of a mountain, such as Preachers Rock.
Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
I LOVE the Fall- the “ber” months; Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at church is my “moment” for the year, every year.

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My daughter, SaraBeth- She is an amazing young lady and I am so very proud of her!
Q: What is one or two of your favorite smells?
A horse (you have to know it to get it…LOL), a fresh cut hay field, good lavender bath soap.
